Taifa Stars njia panda 2010

Kosa la kawaida la mlinda mlango namba moja wa kocha Marcio Maximo jana liliiondoa timu ya taifa, Taifa Stars, kwenye michuano ya awali ya Kombe la Dunia kanda ya Afrika zikiwa zimebaki mechi mbili baada ya kufungwa na Cameroon mabao 2-1 mjini Younde.

Ivo Mapunda ambaye ana kawaida ya kudondosha mipira ndani ya eneo la hatari anapodaka, jana alimtengea Samuel Eto`o bao la kwanza alipoushika na kuudondosha mpira wa krosi ya juu kutoka kwa Geremi Njitap kutoka wingi ya kushoto.

Badala ya kuupanchi kwenda nje ya eneo la hatari ama kuwa kona, Mapunda alijaribu kuukamata mpira huo lakini ukamshinda na kudondokea miguuni na Mwanasoka Bora wa Afrika mara tatu mfululizo wa zamani Eto`o.

Danny Mrwanda ambaye ndiye pekee aliyefunga mabao yote ya Stars katika mechi nne za kwanza za michuano ya awali pamoja na jana – mawili tu – aliisawazishia Stars baada ya shambulizi maridadi katika dakika ya 79 alipomzunguka Rigobert Song kutoka kulia na kuiwahi pasi ya Henry Joseph ndani ya eneo la hatari, kushoto.

Lakini wakati Stars ikidhani imefanya kile ambacho baba na kaka zao walimudu katika miaka ya 1980 na 1990, kutoka sare na moja miamba ya Afrika Magharibi ugenini, Eto�o aliwafadhaisha katika dakika ya 89.

Kwa kufungwa mechi hiyo, Stars imebaki na pointi mbili baada ya michezo minne, nne nyuma ya Cape Verde ambayo itahodhi nafasi ya pili kama itaifunga leo nyumbani timu dhaifu ya Mauritius.

Cameroon imefikisha pointi 10 na kuelekea kuvuka hatua ya kwanza ya michuano ya awali ya Kombe la Dunia, kama ilivyotarajiwa.

Washindi 12 wa makundi na timu nane zitakazoshika nafasi ya pili zikiwa na matokeo bora zitaingia hatua ya pili ya makundi ya awali ambapo zitagawanywa katika makundi matano ya timu nne.

Washindi watano wa makundi watafuzu kucheza fainali za Kombe la Dunia za Afrika Kusini mwaka 2010 na timu tatu za juu zitacheza fainali za Kombe la Mataifa ya Afrika Angola mwaka huo pia.

Cameroon: Idrisa Kamen, Rigobert Song, Andrey Bikey, Geremi Njitap, Timothee Atouba (Sadjo Haman dk.74), Alexander Song, Stephene Mbia (Joel Epalle dk.46), Modeste Mbani, Jean Makoun (Achilie Emana 64), Samwel Eto�o na Achilie Webbo.
