Tinoco ready to reveal youth teams

The national team youth coach, Marcos Tinoco, is expected to reveal a provisional squad of 40 players who will form Serengeti Boys on Thursday.

Serengeti Boys will host Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in a CAF under-17 first leg, qualifying match on April 11 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. The return leg will be played on April 25 in DRC.

The Brazilian Tinoco said the team would be reduced to 25. “After the screening, players who will remain in the team will immediately start residential camp in Dar es Salaam,“ he added.

Tinoco also said he would next week name under-20, Ngorongoro Heroes.

Ngorongoro Heroes will play Sudan in a CAF under -20 qualifying, first leg match between April 18-20 in Dar es Salaam while the return leg will be staged in Khartoum, Sudan in May.

The winners will play winners of the match between Somalia and Kenya.
