TFF to screen club officials

TFF secretary general Fredrick Mwakalebela

Tanzania Football Federation would review the qualifications of three officials employed by Mainland premier soccer league clubs in conformity with the Bagamoy accord.

The accord requires each of the top flight side to submit the names of financial controller, secretary general and information officers as required by FIFA.

TFF secretary general Fredrick Mwakalebela said the need to review the documents of the three employed club officials is to ascertain their technical know how, eligibility, correctness and validity of their qualifications.

Mwakalebela said the three officials must meet all relevant merits to assume their respective posts in the clubs they are serving.

He said all clubs have submitted the names of the three officials ahead of the league kick off last Sunday.

Most of the premiership clubs experienced some difficulties in filling the three posts especially those with meager resources to meet payroll demands.

Simba and Yanga were too embroiled in filling the posts as time was running out to beat the August 22 deadline.

Mwina Kaduguda, Cliford Ndimbo and Almasi Chano have been employed as secretary general, information officer and financial controller for Simba club. Yanga employed Lawrence Mwalusako, Louis Sendeu and Godfrey Mwenje in similar capacity, respectively.
