The Daily Mirror reports that the Catalan giants have recently despatched their chief scout Albert Valentine to track the Welsh winger, and that his glowing reports back to the club have convinced Pep Guardiola to make a move to bolster the left flank that he believes is the only weak link in his side.

And finally, Manchester City could sue Carlos Tevez for £25m if they can prove that his latest absence from the club amounts to gross misconduct.
Tevez is expected to be hit with a six-week fine worth £1.2m for skipping training in order to go to Argentina without permission, and has apparently lost out on a further £6m in loyalty bonuses after asking for a transfer last season; but the Mirror claims that is just the start.
If a misconduct charge sticks, City should then be able to sue Tevez for purposefully acting in a way that has slashed his value on the transfer market. After all, who would pay £40m for the striker now?
