The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has revised Mainland league fixtures involving three matches that were supposed to be played this weekend.
The rescheduling of the matches has been necessitated by Taifa Stars friendly Middle East tour of Egypt and Yemen.
The affected teams are those who have contributed more than five players in the national team’s squad.
Taifa Stars left for Egypt yesterday where they are expected to play their friendly international against their hosts in Aswan today.
The team would also fly to Yemen where they are lined up to play two more friendlies against the country’s national team mid next week.
TFF’s secretary general Frederick Mwakalebela said Azam’s eleventh round match against Manyema Rangers that was supposed to be played yesterday has been pushed back to November 14.
Runaway leaders Simba that were supposed to host Mtibwa Sugar on Saturday, have their derby shifted to November 15 at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Holders Young Africans will play against Prisons the following day instead of their previous fixture set for Sunday.
The postponement will in no way affect the second half of the league that kicks off mid January.
However, two matches for the eleventh round fixture remain unchanged as Moro United host visiting Majimaji at the Uhuru Stadium today.
Relegation-haunted Toto Africa will be away to Kagera Sugar at the Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba on Sunday.
The national team is expected to board a return flight next week after the three international friendlies in the Middle East.
The Mainland premier soccer league comes to the half way stage after the eleventh round matches with Simba still at the top of the twelve-team standings with 30 points, unbeaten after ten matches.
