Stuart John Hall, who signed a five-year deal with Zanzibar Football Association to coach the Isles team, arrived in Zanzibar yesterday morning.
The ZFA information officer, Maulid Hamad Maulid, said the coach arrived to undertake his duties as from tomorrow.
To start with, the English coach would train Premier League coaches and those from Division One.
The coaches are not more than 30 according to his desired number of trainees for a specified duration.
Maulid said the coach would hand over his programme to the ZFA offices this morning.
Besides the coaches training, Hall is also responsible to train the Zanzibar national soccer team for the next five years.
His another important assignment is to lead the isles soccer team into the Council of East and Central African Football Association’s Challenge Cup championship to be staged in Dar es Salaam in November.
Eleven CECAfA member states are expected to compete in the championship.
Zanzibar finished third in the final standings of the previous edition of Challenge Cup staged in Nairobi last year.
Hall signed the deal in June before ZFA officials, Future Century firm based in Dar es Salaam and American firm GSB.
The GSB would be responsible to foot the bills of the Zanzibar national soccer team’s camp, allowances for players and sport gear.
Before signing the deal with ZFA, Hall had unsuccessfully attempted to contest for Taifa Stars coaching post to replace Brazilian Marcio Maximo.
Danish coach Jan Poulsen won the post instead.
