Arsenal have no worries ahead of their Champions League last 16 second leg clash with Porto, if our European Power Rankings are anything to go by.
Our form guide for clubs across the continent who reached the knockout stages of European competition shows that since the Gunners’ farcical 2-1 defeat in Portugal three weeks ago their performances have surpassed those of the Dragons.
Three consecutive domestic wins since the first leg have seen Arsenal move up four places to seventh in our table, while taking just four points from a possible nine means Porto drop down past the Gunners into 10th.
Aside from those two teams, the only other movement in the top 10 sees PSV Eindhoven and Lyon swap places.
Four straight wins in the Eredivisie have seen Twente continue their steady rise up the chart to 17th. Teams who have progressed through to the next round of the Europa League won’t see the benefit in this table until the next round begins.

Domestic points per game are multiplied by the league coefficient – either 3.5. 4. 4.5 or 5 – with teams in stronger leagues getting more credit.

Champions League victories are counted as three points for a win. They are all multiplied by a coefficient of 5. Matches in the group stage and beyond are counted.
Europa League League victories are counted as three points for a win. They are all multiplied by a coefficient of 4. Matches in the group stage and beyond are counted.

52 points from 25 Ligue 1 games = 2.08 points per game
Multiplied by league coefficient of 4.5 – 2.08 x 4.5 = 9.36
19 points from 7 Champions League game = 2.71 points per game.
Multiplied by Champions League coefficient of five – 2.71 x 5 = 13.57
Total score = 9.36 + 13.57 = 22.93
