Arusha for open international tennis championship

The Tanzania Tennis Association has organised a one day open international championship at the Arusha International Conference Centre tennis ground on June 23, 2008.

Godian Mhina, Gymkhana Tennis Club coach told The Guardian on Sunday in an interview recently that the tournament would be open to anybody interested in the game.

“In this competition every one will be allowed to participate and if he wins, he will be awarded as an individual player if he is not from a tennis club,“ said Mhina.

The championship, known as AICC Open tournament will include participants from Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.

The first winner of the tournament will be awarded 300,000/-and the second 200,000/-.
