In November last year Wersen Media Group (WMG) www.wmgllc.com tabled its ambition to help to establish sustainable route that would enable young Tanzania talented football players to play in international teams. The presentation that was made to Tanzania High Commission in London, chaired by H E Mrs Majaar was encouraging, thanks to initiative made by www.tanzaniasports.com dedicated to bring investment into Tanzania sports industry.
The hope among sport activist in Tanzania is that WMG initiative will initiate and usher in an explosion of new paradigm to be sustained by productive links. In which case, it will be built on the foundation of the lessons learned from a number of existing partnerships that has seen other local team supplying their players to international known clubs.
The evolution and how private sector could contribute into the development of sport industry in Tanzania has been somewhat ad hoc. Surprisingly little is known about the formal model that could be tabled for evaluation, where lesson could be learned. Nonetheless, this problem is about to end with WMG looking forward to provide to Tanzania a model that has successful made a land mark promoted by WMG link to world known clubs in Europe and USA.
Focusing on Tanzania sport industry could be viewed as a part of a larger target-led programme designed by WMG to improve the quality of talented Tanzania youth players that could change the way Tanzania participate in international football matches. In this way, linked football clubs will receive sustained and regular support by WMG designated model, which according to their presentation made to H.E Tanzania High Commission in the UK will build strategy that will be a key factor in ensuring Tanzania young talented players gained maximum benefit from the WMG world promotion network.
