Hasheem Thabeet’s basketball clinic that started yesterday comes to an end tomorrow at the Don Bosco grounds in Dar es Salaam.
The clinic, the first of its kind, took off with a bang as many basketball young players turned up to attend.
At least 120 young basketball players and other enthusiasts turned up at the Don Bosco grounds to honour Thabeet’s call.
It was a hectic moment for the Tanzania’s basketball export to the United States as each participant wanted to be attended.
Thabeet himself has been overwhelmed by the turn up of the players and appreciated their response.
Most of those youngsters who attended Thabeet’s clinic by yesterday were Dar es Salaam-based ones.
More upcountry participants are expected to flock at the Don Bosco venue as the second day of the clinic gets underway.
Thabeet, the country’s basketball icon who managed to break the NBA barrier last year, is in the country for holidays.
Besides the participants, some basketball enthusiasts also turned up to watch the clinic’s procession.
Others wanted to have a closer look of the basketball star whose NBA penetration to feature for Memphis Grizzlies team took the entire country by storm last year.
