Yanga’s chairman Imani Madega, said Mwenje who was arrested at the club house yesterday afternoon, he has also been served with suspension letter.
Madega said the suspension would provide room for smooth running of the investigation leading into the allegations.
The Yanga chairman said his club has been highly shocked by the eruption of the counterfeit premiership match tickets scandal that has rocked revenue of the clubs for long spells.
The scandal came into being during the match involving Moro United and Young Africans at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam last week.
