Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is looking for qualifying Tanzanians to apply for the post of the League Committee Desk Officer, the soccer’s governing body said yesterday.
According to TFF, the League Committee Desk Officer’s overall responsibility is administering the Tanzania Premier League and First Division League and the person will be reporting to the federation’s Competitions Director.
TFF said the position of the League Committee Desk Officer is tenable on a basis of a 2-year renewable contract at a negotiable remuneration package and is open to people who are 30 years or above with a minimum of Bachelor Degree Academic Certificate or its equivalent.
The federation said some of the idea person’s responsibilities will be making league fixtures, looking for venues accommodation and logistics of match officials, deal with players eligibility and keeping the records of all matches.
According to TFF, the person will also be responsible for allocation of sponsorship funds to both clubs and match officials as per the existing sponsorship contract and handling of all communications with Premier and First Division stakeholders.
He will also be responsible for all marketing aspects of the Premier League and First Division League.
The forming of the league committee desk office has come at a time when there are misunderstandings between premier league clubs and TFF on the manner the league is to be managed.
Premier league clubs proposed that for the smooth running of football in the country the league should be managed by a company while TFF should concentrate on general football development in the country.
