Yanga will now play their archrivals Simba in the Kagame Cup third place play-off tomorrow.
The Mainland champions qualified to play the Msimbazi Street team after being beaten 1-0 by Tusker of Kenya in the Kagame Cup semi final match played at the Main National Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.
Simba were also beaten by the same margin by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) in the first semi final match played on Thursday on the same ground.
The archrivals will vie for10, 000 dollars (above 10m/-) donated by Rwanda President Paul Kagame.
Tusker and URA will contest for 30,000 dollars (above 30m/-) which is allocated for the champions.
The losers of the match will receive 20, 000 dollars (above 20m/-).
Tusker FC scored their own goal in the 52nd minute when Justus Anene connected home a Simon Mburu’s cross to beat Yanga’s custodian Ivo Mapunda.
