The French goal ace signed from Arsenal last summer, but is yet to recreate the kind of form that convinced the Catalan giants to pay £16 million for his services.

A high profile divorce from his wife last year was followed by a slump in form on the pitch, prompting Henry to recently admit he is missing his young daughter.

Reports have already linked the 30-year-old with a return to the Premier League – Manchester City have been mentioned as potential suitors – but when asked if that was a possibility, Henry categorically said “no”.

He added: “That is what you [the media] have interpreted.”

Instead Henry prefers to concentrate on winning trophies with Barca, who are still in with a shout of silverware on three fronts this season.

“Before I was playing with an injury and it wasn’t easy,” Henry, whose contract at the Camp Nou runs until 2011, told Sport. “I don’t know if it was the best thing to do but I wanted to play.

“Now I’m playing without pain, but there are always some problems.”

He added: “We’re in the quarter-final of the Champions League, a step away from the Copa del Rey final and in a good place in the league, although it could be better.

“It’s certainly nothing to be crying about.”

Barca currently trail Real Madrid in La Liga by seven points, but have a winable Champions League quarter-final clash with Schalke and a Copa del Rey semi-final against Valencia to look forward to.
