Poulsen set to unveil team for Morocco clash
Taifa Stars head coach Jan Poulsen
In the next five days, Poulsen would announce the players who will be supposed to start the ad hoc training camp on September 28 in Dar es Salaam.
The team would board a Rabat-bound flight on October 6 for the match to be played in Casablanca on four days later.
This is Stars final qualifier tie in their Group D as they need an outright victory on a foreign soil should they want to stride into the qualifier berth for the finals to be jointly hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Stars have a tricky tie as they have no option outside winning having posted the only victory over Central African Republic.
The team has amassed five points having lost twice, one to Morocco and the other match to Central Africa Republic. Twice the team drew with Algeria both at home and away to keep their qualification bid at stake.
Both Morocco and Algeria are leading the group with seven points apiece to stay on pole position for the finals.
Stars have a slim chance of making to the finals as they need not only a win but also a big number of goals from the regular campaigners, yet at their home soil.
Poulsen, who is a FIFA approved coaching instructor, is currently in Gambia conducting a course.
The coach is expected in Dar es Salaam on Saturday to gear up for the brief coaching stint of Stars players.
