Manchester United yasababisha kifo Kenya


*Shabiki ajiua baada ya Man U kufungwa

Mwenendo mbovu wa Manchester United umesababisha zahama nchini Kenya, baada ya shabiki wake kuamua kujiua.

Klabu hiyo imekubali kichapo cha pili mfululizo Old Trafford, jambo ambalo halikupata kutokea tangu 2002, hivyo shabiki wake huyo akaona maisha hayana thamani tena.

John Macharia mwenye umri wa miaka 28 alichukua uamuzi huo mgumu baada ya mechi ya Mashetani Wekundu dhidi ya Newcastle Jumapili, ambapo walibandikwa bao 1-0.

Macharia alijiua kwa kujirusha kutoka ghorofa ya saba eneo la Pipeline Estate na kukutana na mauti baada ya kufika chini.

Kamanda wa Polisi wa Nairobi, Baneson Kibui anasema shabiki huyo aliamua kujiua baada ya kupata matokeo hayo yaliyomtisha kwa timu anayoipenda mno.

Kitakwimu hii ni mara ya kwanza katika zaidi ya miaka 40 kwa Newcastle kupata ushindi Old Trafford, kwani mara ya mwisho walishinda hapo 1972.

Shabiki huyo pia alisema alikuwa anasononeshwa na ukweli kwamba sasa timu yake iliyokuwa inatetea ubingwa ipo nyuma ya vinara Arsenal kwa pointi 13 wakiwa wamecheza mechi sawa.

Kifo hicho kinakuja baada ya kile cha mwaka 2009 cha Suleiman Omondi (29) aliyekuwa shabiki wa Arsenal na aliyejiua baada ya kufungwa na United 3-1 kwenye Kombe la Mabingwa Ulaya.

Kamanda Kibui aliwataka washabiki wa soka nchini Kenya kuunga mkono timu za nyumbani badala ya klabu za kigeni ambazo hawazijui wala hazina fungamano na Afrika Mashariki.

“Washabiki wa soka wanatakiwa kufurahia mechi za soka …lakini pia sioni kwa nini wajiue kwa sababu maisha ni kitu muhimu sana yakilinganishwa na soka. Hata hivyo wajikite kushangilia timu za hapa badala ya hizo za ng’ambo zisizohusiana na taifa letu,” akasema Afande Kibui.
