Milan v Arsenal (Agg: 0-0)

Van Persie (pictured) has not played since the beginning of January, but Arsenal are confident that he has overcome a thigh problem.

Kolo Toure has not recovered from the calf injury he picked up in the first leg, so Philippe Senderos will continue to deputise for him in the centre of defence alongside William Gallas.

Emmanuel Eboue is available to play despite currently serving a domestic ban, but Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Alex Song (knee), Johan Djourou (groin) and Eduardo (broken leg) are all out.

Milan have confirmed that teenage Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato will be available for the game, after he picked up a knee injury in the 1-1 draw with Lazio at the weekend.

Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta and Andrea Pirlo should return after being rested for the match, but Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf is a major doubt after he sustained a hamstring injury.

Midfielder Emerson and defender Marek Jankulovski are also unavailable, as is long-term injury victim Ronaldo, but World Footballer of the Year Kaka is expected to return from a bout of tendinitis.

Manchester United v Lyon (Agg: 1-1)

Ryan Giggs is a doubt for United after being forced to sit out the 3-0 victory at Fulham with a calf strain, so Nani may start.

Nemanja Vidic also missed the game at Craven Cottage, but he is expected to start after overcoming a similar injury.

Lyon captain Cris has declared himself fit to play, after making his return from a long-term knee ligamant injury in the 1-0 win over Lille, but right-back Anthony Reveillere is suspended.

Lyon boss Alain Perrin must decide whether to re-install Cris in the side ahead of former Newcastle United centre-half Jean-Alain Boumsong, who was signed from Juventus in January.

Barcelona v Celtic (Agg: 3-2)

Midfielder Scott Brown is expected to take his place in the heart of the Celtic midfield after missing the first leg through suspension.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan must decide whether to replace cup-tied Andreas Hinkel with Mark Wilson or Paul Caddis.

Caddis made his Champions League debut in the first leg, but was replaced in the second half by Wilson, who has been out through injury since September.

Defender Rafael Marquez, midfielder Yaya Toure and teenage forward Bojan Krkic all missed Barcelona’s 4-2 defeat at Atletico Madrid on Saturday, and may miss out.
