Augusta Energy support cycling team for African Championship

The petroleum company Augusta Energy accepted to sponsor three cyclists and one official to attend African Continental Championships in Egypt.
Augusta Energy will pay travel and accommodation expenses worth 5,000 USD.
The company will offer additional special prize of USD 1,000 for any podium position.
The African Continental Championships of cycling will be held in Sham el Sheick, Egypt, from 28 November to 05 December.

Augusta Energy is a Swiss based international trader of crude oil and other petroleum products.
Mr. Giuseppe Nestola, Managing Director of Augusta Energy declared: “We are a socially responsible petroleum company. We are willing to support the Tanzania cycling team to participate in such an important sport event. Tanzanian cyclists have shown commitment and are improving. We are dealing with energy products and we are therefore happy to support the natural energy coming from Tanzanian youth”.

The Team is composed as follows

– Laizer Loning’o​Arusha, professional rider in South Africa WCCA MTN Qhubeka team
– Hamisi Mkoma​Arusha, Tanzania National Champion 2013
– Gerald Konda​Shynianga
– Jax Mhagama​Team Manager, CHABATA President

The team will participate to three competitions:
– Team time trial, 63 Km
– Individual time trial, 42 Km
– Road Race, 155 Km
