Two goals scored by Boniface Ambani earned Yanga a 3-0 win over Majimaji of Songea in a Vodacom Premier League match at the Uhuru stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

The Kenyan striker used a Jerry Tegete cross to score the first goal in the 21st minute. He added the second in the same style in the 64th minute when he used Shamte Ally’s move to beat goalie Saidi Mohamed. He scored the third in the 71st minute.

Second-placed Yanga now have 30 points while Majimaji remain in the sixth place with 19 points.

In Mwanza, leaders Simba are expected to maintain their unbeaten record when they play away Toto African in a Vodacom Premier League match at CCM Kirumba here.

Hosts Toto African will be struggling for the revenge after the Dar es Salaam side defeated them 3-1 in first leg match played at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam last year.

Simba head coach Patrick Phiri said yesterday that his players were highly-spirited to win the match in order to maintain their unbeaten record as they play the lake zone side.

The coach said each and every player was aware of the importance of the all remaining games.“It is going to be a tough game.

We know that Toto will not be ready to be beaten at their home ground, in front of their fans,” the Zambian tactician said.

Simba have so far won all 13 games to reach 39 points while Toto African are the bottom of the 12-team league with seven points

After the game, Simba will go to Bukoba to date Kagera Sugar in another league match set for Wednesday at Kaitaba Stadium.
